The violent attack was caught on cameras, shared on social media, sparking outrage, and has now prompted an investigation by the authorities.
The short video, showing the man repeatedly hitting the face of his bulldog breed, was posted on Instagram by Faron Paul.

“If he does this in broad daylight in public, imagine behind closed doors.”
The disturbing footage of the abuse was captured by a doorbell camera in the Hanwell district of Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire on Friday.
The man can be heard shouting at the dog as it stops walking, saying, “No, come on, come here,” before pulling the animal towards him, hitting it multiple times, and dragging it along the road.
The man is then seen walking in the opposite direction while carrying the dog, saying, “He can f*** off.”
Comments posted in response to the video included “Disgusting behavior – poor little dog” and “How can someone do this to such a young puppy in the world?”
